U.S. Representative Angie Craig, who serves Minnesota’s 2nd district, shared a series of posts on September 3, 2025, addressing recent events and legislative priorities.
On the evening of September 2, Craig described her participation in a moment of silence with other members of the Minnesota delegation to honor victims of the recent shooting at Annunciation Catholic School. She stated: "Tonight, as Minnesota kids were wrapping up their first day at school, I stood with the MN delegation in a moment of silence. We honored the two lives lost, the 21 injured and the immeasurable lives forever changed from last week’s shooting at Annunciation Catholic School." (September 3, 2025)
Later that day, Craig addressed comments made by former President Donald Trump regarding Jeffrey Epstein. She wrote: "President Trump called Jeffrey Epstein's abuse of women a ‘hoax.’ My message to him: these survivors are real, and I will not let them be silenced. Today, I signed on to #ReleaseTheFiles." (September 3, 2025)
In a subsequent post on September 3, Craig reaffirmed her stance on congressional ethics by expressing support for new legislation aimed at prohibiting members of Congress from trading stocks. She stated: "Banning members of Congress from trading stocks has always been one of my top priorities as your Representative. That’s why I’m supporting the bipartisan stock trading ban introduced today that prevents Members of Congress from profiting off their positions once and for all." (September 3, 2025)
Angie Craig has represented Minnesota’s 2nd district since replacing Jason Lewis in 2019. Born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently residing in Prior Lake, she holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis.
