City of Apple Valley issued the following announcement on Jan. 7.
Elections will be held: Presidential Nomination Primary (Tuesday, March 3, 2020); Primary Election (Tuesday, August 11, 2020); and General and City Election (Tuesday, November 3, 2020)
Polling places are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Judges report to the polling place beginning at 5:30 a.m. It is preferred judges work the full day, and preference will be given to applicants willing to work full days at all three elections. If you can only work a half day, the shifts are 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. to closing. Judges are paid an hourly rate of $10.50 per hour, and training on equipment and voting procedures will be provided.
