Angie Craig addresses U.S., foreign aid policy and Gaza humanitarian visas on social media

U.S. Representative Angie Craig, who serves Minnesota’s 2nd district, has recently used her social media platform to address several pressing national and international issues.

On August 28, 2025, Craig posted: "We do not have to live this way in America. As a mother and a grandmother, we must demand better - for our kids, our communities and our country."

The following day, on August 29, 2025, she criticized actions taken by former President Donald Trump regarding foreign aid funding. In her post she stated: "Last night under the cover of darkness, President Trump illegally slashed $5B in foreign aid that Congress already approved. And my Republican colleagues are standing idly by, letting this happen - again. His actions are illegal. Stand up and stop abdicating your"

On August 30, 2025, Craig addressed humanitarian concerns related to the ongoing conflict in Gaza: "I’m urging the State Department to reverse their recent decision to halt temporary medical-humanitarian visas for children from Gaza. Children caught in the middle of this horrific conflict must be given the medical care they urgently need."

Craig has represented Minnesota’s 2nd District since 2019 after succeeding Jason Lewis. She was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. She graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.
