City of Apple Valley issued the following announcement on May 13.
The City and the Freedom Days Committee have determined that it is unlikely that the COVID-19 situation will have improved sufficiently by early July to allow large crowds to safely gather at parades or other events
Based on the information available to the City at this time, the City and the Freedom Days Committee have determined that it is unlikely that the COVID-19 situation will have improved sufficiently by early July to allow large crowds to safely gather at parades or other events typically held with the Freedom Days Celebration. The event for 2020 has been canceled due to the public safety concerns of the pandemic and we look forward to the return of the event in 2021
