City of Coates issued the following announcement on June 5.
The public can review and comment on Dakota County's draft Groundwater Plan to protect drinking water and ensure a clean, plentiful groundwater supply. The plan presents a range of strategies for addressing difficult water quality and supply challenges that are shared by many communities.
The draft plan public review and comment period is open through July 20, 2020. Review the draft plan on the Groundwater Plan page. Email comments to groundwater@co.dakota.mn.us or mail comments to:

The Dakota County Board of Commissioners scheduled a public hearing for 9 a.m. Sept. 1, in the Boardroom of the Dakota County Administration Center, 1590 Hwy. 55, Hastings or via telephone or other electronic means to receive comments on the draft plan.
