City Of Lakeville issued the following announcement on Dec. 29.
Some outdoor ice rinks will open today!
Open pleasure skating rinks: Parkview and Quail Meadows
Open hockey rinks: Parkview, Quail Meadows, Dakota Heights, Meadows, Rolling Oaks and Prairie Lake. Hockey nets will be out sometime today.
Park Maintenance will continue to improve the ice conditions and build ice on all 10 rink sites when conditions are favorable. Please stay off the ice during ice maintenance and 15 minutes afterwards.
Rink lights will be turned on in the evenings around 5 p.m. However, rinks are closed on New Year’s Eve beginning at 4 p.m.
Warming houses are scheduled to open after it is allowed by the state. Currently, that date is January 11, 2021.
