Angie Craig, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota’s 2nd District since 2019, shared several updates on December 13, 2024, through her social media platform. These updates covered meetings with state officials, historical anniversaries, and significant legislative milestones.

On December 13, Craig expressed her satisfaction after meeting with Minnesota State Senator Nick Frentz in Eagan. She emphasized their discussions on collaborative efforts to enhance community strength within Minnesota. "Great to meet with Minnesota State Senator Nick Frentz recently in Eagan to discuss how we can work together to strengthen our Minnesota communities."

Later that day, she commemorated the founding of the National Guard 388 years ago in Massachusetts. In recognition of its establishment as the nation's first military force, Craig extended gratitude towards citizen soldiers for their contributions to local communities and national defense. "Today marks 388 years since the National Guard was first founded in Massachusetts – making it our nation’s first military force. On the National Guard’s birthday, I’m thanking our citizen soldiers for their service and dedication to our communities and our nation."

Concluding her series of posts on December 13, Craig reflected on the two-year anniversary of the Respect for Marriage Act's enactment. She highlighted this legislation's importance in safeguarding family rights irrespective of changes within the Supreme Court and reiterated her commitment to ensuring all Americans enjoy fundamental freedoms. "Two years ago today, the Respect for Marriage Act was signed into law – ensuring that families like mine will always stay protected, regardless of who’s on the Supreme Court. I will always fight to ensure every American is granted the fundamental freedoms they deserve."
