Property Tax Statements and Valuation Notices | City of Burnsville
The Dakota County Assessing Services Department mails a Value Notice to each property owner around the middle of March every year. The assessment on Jan. 2 forms the basis for the following year’s tax.

If you have questions or concerns about your property valuation or classification, contact the Dakota County Assessor's Office. If your questions or concerns are not resolved after discussing with your assessor, you may bring your case to the Special County Board of Appeal and Equalization. Call 651-438-4200 by May 1 for an appointment or for more information.
