Angie Craig visits school and addresses national tragedy

Angie Craig, a U.S. Congress representative for Minnesota's 2nd district since 2019, has been actively engaging with her constituents and addressing pressing issues through social media. Born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972, Craig currently resides in Prior Lake and holds a BA from the University of Memphis.

On January 29, 2025, Angie Craig shared her experience visiting special education programs at Two Rivers High School in Mendota Heights alongside Superintendent Olson-Skog. She expressed her appreciation for the students and educators by stating "This morning, I had the opportunity to visit the special education programs at Two Rivers High School in Mendota Heights with Superintendent Olson-Skog. I can’t think of a better way to start my day than with #MN02’s incredible students & educators."

The following day, on January 30, 2025, she conveyed her condolences regarding a tragic accident that occurred in Washington D.C., which resulted in civilian and military casualties. In her message, she mentioned "My heart is broken for the families who lost their loved ones in last night’s tragic accident in DC that claimed the lives of civilians and members of our military. They remain in my prayers as we work to get answers about how this incident happened in the first place."

Later on January 30th, Craig addressed economic concerns faced by families regarding childcare expenses. She advocated for policy changes by tweeting "Families can’t afford their childcare. It's time to extend the Child Tax Credit and make our tax system work for working families again."
