Angie Craig, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Minnesota’s 2nd district since 2019, expressed concerns over recent economic and policy decisions through a series of tweets on March 11, 2025. The congresswoman addressed issues related to tariffs, funding cuts, and their impact on the stock market and social benefits.

In her first tweet on March 11, 2025, at 19:10 UTC, Craig criticized recent economic measures by stating "Disastrous tariffs and reckless funding cuts have pushed the stock market to its worst day in years. Americans should expect competence from our leaders, not shortsighted job cuts and tariff whiplash."

Later that day at 21:42 UTC, she targeted Elon Musk and DOGE for allegedly threatening essential social programs. She stated "After weeks of claiming that critical benefits aren’t on the chopping block, unelected billionaire Elon Musk and DOGE are targeting Social Security and Medicare funding. Taking hard-earned benefits away from our seniors and veterans is just plain wrong."

At 21:58 UTC the same day, Craig criticized Republicans for their budgetary decisions. She claimed "Not only have Republicans used their funding bill to slash programs for our veterans and seniors, and refuse funding for community projects Congress already negotiated, but they’ve also handed complete control over to the President to implement his disastrous tariff agenda."
