Angie Craig, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota's 2nd district, recently addressed several pressing issues through a series of tweets on March 18, 2025. Her statements focused on topics ranging from postal service accountability to job cuts at the Department of Veterans Affairs and agricultural policy.

In her first tweet of the day, Craig highlighted concerns about mail service delays in Minnesota. She announced her bipartisan initiative, the Deliver for Democracy Act, which aims to improve postal services. "For far too long, Minnesotans have experienced unacceptable delays in mail service – all while seeing increased rates for local news delivery," she wrote. The proposed legislation would require the United States Postal Service (USPS) to achieve a 95% on-time delivery rate for newspapers.

Later that day, Craig expressed opposition to recent job cuts at the Department of Veterans Affairs alongside Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith. "Today, I stood with @SenAmyKlobuchar and @SenTinaSmith to oppose the Admin’s illegal job cuts at the VA," she stated. Craig emphasized that these layoffs undermine veterans' sacrifices and negatively impact their families.

In her final tweet of March 18th, Craig criticized a decision by Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins concerning changes within the USDA. "I’m pushing Ag Secretary Brooke Rollins to explain @USDA’s decision to gut critical programs that support local farmers and ranchers while helping feed our kids," she commented. Craig called for strengthening supply chains and creating opportunities for American producers as part of her advocacy efforts.
