Angie Craig, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota's 2nd District, has been vocal about several significant issues through her social media platform. On April 15, 2025, she highlighted her legislative efforts and expressed concerns about national security and healthcare in a series of posts.
On April 15, 2025, Craig stated, "On Tax Day, I’m re-introducing my You Earned It, You Keep It Act to eliminate federal taxes on social security benefits. My bill puts money back into the pockets of Minnesota’s seniors and reduces the national debt too. It just makes sense." Craig believes this legislation will benefit seniors in Minnesota while addressing broader fiscal concerns at the national level.
Later the same day, she shared her experience attending a local event, saying, "I was proud to attend the groundbreaking of the Scott County Integrated Health Center in Shakopee today. This new facility in #MN02 will help generations of Minnesotans access the mental health care they need." The new facility is intended to enhance mental health services for residents.
On April 16, 2025, Craig criticized the administration regarding union issues and data security. She tweeted, "The Admin has already launched an all-out assault on our unions. Now they’re compromising their sensitive data too? Handing American workers’ personal information over to Russia is not only an attack on union workers – it's a national security disaster." Her condemnation highlighted concerns over the administration's handling of union data and national security.
Angie Craig, serving in Congress since 2019, represents Minnesota’s 2nd District. She succeeded Jason Lewis and continues to reside in Prior Lake. Craig graduated with a BA from the University of Memphis in 1994.
