Angie Craig, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota's 2nd district since 2019, has shared her thoughts on various pressing issues through a series of tweets. These tweets touch upon topics ranging from National Police Week to criticisms of current political actions and budget proposals.
On May 12, 2025, Angie Craig marked the beginning of National Police Week by recognizing the dedication of law enforcement officers. She stated, "Today marks the start of National Police Week — a time to recognize the law enforcement officers who show up every day to keep our families and communities safe, and honor those — like those in our own community — who have lost their lives in the line of duty."
Later that same day, Craig expressed criticism towards the President's actions regarding foreign relations and alleged corruption. She tweeted, "While families across America are struggling to pay for gas and groceries—the President is letting foreign governments buy him off with luxury jets. This is corruption through and through."
On May 13, 2025, Craig addressed potential consequences of proposed budget cuts by House Republicans. She warned that such cuts could lead to millions losing health coverage: "If House Republicans move forward with their devastating budget cuts, 13.7 million Americans will lose their health coverage. That means kids, seniors, veterans and hardworking Americans will go without care."
Angie Craig was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. She graduated from the University of Memphis in 1994 with a Bachelor’s degree.
