Angie Craig, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota’s 2nd district since 2019, has been actively voicing her opinions and legislative actions on various issues via social media. Her recent tweets highlight her ongoing efforts in education, renewable energy, and internet safety.

On May 18, Craig commemorated the 60th anniversary of Head Start by emphasizing its significance in serving thousands of children in Minnesota. She criticized the current administration's attempts to cut Head Start programs nationwide, stating: "Every year, Head Start serves thousands of Minnesota kids, setting them up for long-term success... Today marks the 60th Anniversary of Head Start—and as this Admin remains hell-bent on cutting Head Start programs across the country, I’ll keep fighting tooth and nail to ensure".

In another tweet dated May 19, Craig expressed her commitment to promoting sustainable fuel as a means to combat climate change and bolster energy independence. She detailed her meeting with Fueling MN & MN SAF Hub to explore investments in renewable fuel sources across Minnesota: "Sustainable fuel is the future— helping fight climate change, strengthening our energy independence and saving Minnesotans money at the pump. Last week, I met with Fueling MN & MN SAF Hub to discuss how we can invest in renewable fuel sources across MN."

On the same day, Craig announced a significant legislative achievement aimed at enhancing online safety. Her bipartisan bill banning nonconsensual images and deepfakes publication became law. She tweeted: "Keeping MN communities safe is one of my top priorities in Congress – and in today’s digital age, that means making the internet safer too. Today, my bipartisan bill to ban the publication of nonconsensual images and deepfakes online became law."

Angie Craig was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. She graduated from the University of Memphis with a BA in 1994.
