Angie Craig, a U.S. Congress member representing Minnesota’s 2nd district since 2019, recently expressed her views on various political matters through a series of tweets. Craig, who replaced Jason Lewis in 2019 and holds a BA from the University of Memphis, discussed topics ranging from stock trading by Congress members to media freedom and gender pay equity.

On June 9, 2025, Angie Craig emphasized the need for reform in Washington with a focus on public service rather than personal gain. She stated, "It’s past time to clean up Washington and make sure your elected officials are focused on public service — not personal gain." She mentioned reintroducing her bill to prohibit Members of Congress from trading stocks and affirmed her commitment to seeing it enacted into law.

In another tweet dated June 10, 2025, Craig criticized an action taken by the President against NPR and PBS. She wrote that this was "just another attempt to silence the news sources that report the truth about his disastrous policies." She highlighted the impact on Americans who depend on public media for essential news and educational content.

Also on June 10, Craig marked the anniversary of the Equal Pay Act with a reflection on ongoing gender wage disparities. She noted that despite nearly six decades since its enactment, "the gender wage gap still exists at almost 15%," urging for continued efforts to address this issue.
