Angie Craig, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota's 2nd district, shared her reflections on various matters through social media in June 2025. Her messages touched upon personal celebrations, political decisions, and communal loss.
On June 15, 2025, Angie Craig expressed sentiments of togetherness during challenging times. She remarked "In trying times, we hold our loved ones close and this weekend is no different. This Father’s Day, we recognize all the fathers and father figures in MN-02 and across our state."
Three days later, on June 18, 2025, she addressed a controversial decision impacting families nationwide. She stated "Today’s decision is a blow to families across the country. Extreme Republicans have tried to convince you they are the party of parental rights. Where are they now? These decisions should be left up to families and their doctor."
On June 19, 2025, Angie Craig joined fellow Minnesotans at the State Capitol for a memorial event honoring Melissa and Mark Hortman. In her message she shared "Tonight, Cheryl and I joined our fellow Minnesotans at the State Capitol to honor the lives of Melissa and Mark Hortman. As we mourn the loss of two incredible leaders and friends, we are finding strength in community. The Hortmans’ legacy will not be forgotten."
Craig has been serving in Congress since replacing Jason Lewis in 2019. She was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake.
