Angie Craig, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota's 2nd district since 2019, recently shared her thoughts on various issues through a series of tweets. Her posts touched upon national celebrations, economic concerns, and legislative proposals.

On July 4, 2025, Craig extended her wishes to Minnesotans for Independence Day. She emphasized the importance of reaffirming commitment to fundamental ideals by stating "I’m wishing everyone in Minnesota a safe and happy Independence Day! As we celebrate 249 years of independence, let’s reaffirm our commitment to ensuring the basic ideals of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness - for everyone."

The following day, July 5, 2025, she criticized the President's performance regarding economic promises. She expressed concern over financial struggles faced by many Minnesotans and highlighted her priorities by tweeting "Since day one of his term, the President has failed to deliver on his promise to lower costs for Americans. Too many Minnesotans working two jobs to pay the rent and put food on the table. That’s why strengthening our economy and lowering costs for Minnesotans is one of my top."

On July 6, 2025, Craig addressed ethical standards in Congress with a focus on stock trading by its members. She announced her initiative to reintroduce legislation aimed at preventing conflicts of interest among elected officials with "It’s simple. Members of Congress shouldn’t be trading stocks. I’m proud to be reintroducing this common-sense legislation that would ensure your elected officials are working for you, not their own interests."

Born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently residing in Prior Lake, Angie Craig has been an active voice in Congress since replacing Jason Lewis in 2019.
