Angie Craig, a U.S. Congress member representing Minnesota's 2nd district since 2019, has recently shared her thoughts on several issues via social media. Born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently residing in Prior Lake, Craig has been vocal about inclusivity and healthcare accessibility.
On July 7, 2025, Craig highlighted Disability Pride Month by stating "July is Disability Pride Month, where we celebrate the resilience, strength and contributions of the disability community. Let’s continue to work toward inclusivity and accessibility for all Minnesotans."
Later that day, she addressed healthcare challenges faced by rural Minnesotans. She expressed her commitment to improving access to health services by working with various government levels: "So many Minnesotans, especially those living in rural areas, cannot access the adequate health care and prescription drugs they need and deserve. I’m committed to working with federal, state and local officials to make sure affordable health care is a reality for all Minnesotans."
In another post on the same day, Craig criticized recent actions affecting veterans' benefits. She referenced past comments made by the President about veterans and pointed out budget cuts impacting food assistance and healthcare programs: "First, the President called America’s veterans 'suckers and losers.' Then, he jammed through a budget bill that would cut food assistance and health care programs for servicemembers. Now, he’s gutting the department that gives our veterans the benefits they deserve."
