Angie Craig, who has represented Minnesota’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently shared a series of updates on her official social media account. The posts covered community events, legislative positions on Social Security, and efforts to promote renewable fuels in Minnesota.
On July 12, 2025, Craig highlighted her participation in a local car event by stating: "I had a great time last night at Pan-O-Prog for Cruise Night. From Cadillacs to Pontiacs – there was no shortage of great American-made cars to check out! My son Isaac got to help me pick my favorite!"
In a post dated July 13, 2025, Craig addressed recent legislative developments regarding Social Security: "Despite Republicans’ promises, the Republican budget bill does not repeal taxes on Social Security. It adds a temporary tax deduction for certain seniors – and it does nothing to address the funding cliff that will cut seniors’ overall benefits in less than a decade."
On July 14, 2025, she discussed her advocacy for E15 fuel and its economic impact: "E15 is cheaper, more sustainable and homegrown. That's why I fought to secure year-round E15 – so we can help strengthen Minnesota’s economy and help our family farm operations thrive no matter the season."
Angie Craig was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. She graduated from the University of Memphis with a BA in 1994 and succeeded Jason Lewis as representative of Minnesota’s 2nd district.
