U.S. Representative Angie Craig, who serves Minnesota’s 2nd district in Congress, recently used her social media platform to address several issues affecting Minnesotans, including federal funding for education programs, the impact of inflation, and support for rural mental health care.
On July 14, 2025, Craig wrote on her official account: "This Admin is illegally withholding federal funding for MN-based adult workforce education and programs that benefit disadvantaged students and ESL learners. I’m pushing the Admin to follow the law and fund these critical programs. Minnesota deserves better."
The following day, on July 15, she commented on the measurement of inflation and its real-life implications for residents: "Core Inflation leaves out the costs of energy and food (two sectors that, conveniently, are heavily impacted by Trump’s trade war) – and for the hardworking folks in MN, those are the costs that matter the most. They may try, but they can’t put lipstick on this pig: life is"
Later that same day, Craig addressed challenges facing rural communities in accessing mental health services: "Feeding and fueling the world is a stressful job that comes with unique challenges. But when it comes to mental health care – farmers and producers are often overlooked. I’m proud to reintroduce my bill that connects farmers, producers and rural Minnesotans with the stress"
Craig has represented Minnesota's 2nd District since 2019 after succeeding Jason Lewis. She was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. In addition to her legislative work, Craig holds a BA from the University of Memphis (1994).
