U.S. Representative Angie Craig, who represents Minnesota’s 2nd district in Congress, has reiterated her positions on public broadcasting, wildfire prevention, and reproductive rights in a series of tweets posted between July 19 and July 20, 2025.
On July 19, Craig stated her ongoing commitment to supporting public broadcasting. She wrote: "As a former journalist, I'll never support cuts to public broadcasting – not now, not ever. This fight has only begun."
Later that day, Craig addressed wildfire prevention efforts following discussions with the New Democrat Coalition and Rep. Carbajal. She posted: "When we invest in wildfire prevention programs – we save lives, property and our natural landscapes. I joined @NewDemCoalition and @RepCarbajal this morning to discuss how proactive measures like interagency coordination, community education and infrastructure resilience can".
On July 20, Craig emphasized her stance on reproductive rights by stating: "The fight for reproductive freedom is far from over. I’m working every day to protect a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions without interference from the government."
Craig has represented Minnesota's 2nd District since replacing Jason Lewis in Congress in 2019. Born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently residing in Prior Lake, she graduated from the University of Memphis with a BA in 1994.
