Angie Craig addresses Medicaid cuts and agricultural policy in recent posts

Angie Craig, U.S. Congresswoman representing Minnesota’s 2nd district and Ranking Member on the House Agriculture Committee, recently posted updates about her legislative activities and opinions on recent Senate actions.

On July 20, 2025, Craig shared her experience visiting California to learn about local agriculture: "It was great to join @RepCarbajal this weekend to learn more about California's specialty crops in my capacity as the Ranking Member on the House Ag Committee. We discussed how we can continue to protect farm workers andensure that family farms and the ag economy as a whole is https://t.co/ovKqNfhtJ6".

The following day, July 21, 2025, Craig addressed recent Medicaid legislation in a post: "Senate Republicans – including Senator Josh Hawley – passed the largest cut to Medicaid in American history by one vote. Now Senator Hawley is trying to save face – because he knows these cuts will make America’s seniors, kids and veterans sicker and poorer. We won’t accept his". She also posted a separate link immediately after: "https://t.co/wEJOvneyqs".

Craig has served in Congress since 2019 after replacing Jason Lewis as representative for Minnesota’s 2nd district. Born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972, she currently resides in Prior Lake and holds a BA from the University of Memphis (1994).
