U.S. Representative Angie Craig, who serves Minnesota’s 2nd district in Congress, has recently shared updates on her legislative efforts and positions through a series of posts on her official social media account.
On July 22, 2025, Craig announced the reintroduction of a bipartisan bill aimed at strengthening workforce opportunities. In her post, she stated, "I’m working to create good-paying jobs for Minnesotans and ensure every young person has a shot at success. I’m proud to be reintroducing my bipartisan bill to provide apprenticeship colleges with the support they need because when our workforce is strong, our state and our".
The following day, Craig criticized House Republicans for their handling of an alleged trafficking case involving over 1,000 young women. She wrote on July 23, 2025: "House Republicans are downplaying the trafficking of over 1,000 young women to protect …. who? This is the same old-boys-club BS that silences survivors and empowers the elites in this country to abuse their power with zero consequences. I’m over it. Release the files…no".
Later that same day, Craig discussed election reform after meeting with FairVote CEO Meredith Sumpter. She posted: "Yesterday I had the pleasure of chatting with FairVote CEO Meredith Sumpter about how we can utilize ranked choice voting to ensure free and fair elections. Thanks for stopping by Meredith!"
Angie Craig has represented Minnesota’s 2nd district since replacing Jason Lewis in Congress in 2019. She was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and resides in Prior Lake. A graduate of the University of Memphis with a BA earned in 1994, Craig continues to focus on policies related to job creation, accountability for abuses of power, and election integrity.
