U.S. Representative Angie Craig, who has served Minnesota’s 2nd district in Congress since 2019, recently highlighted key policy initiatives and concerns through a series of posts on her social media account.

On July 23, 2025, Craig addressed the challenges facing prospective homeowners in Minnesota, stating, "Buying a home is a quintessential part of the American Dream – but the sky-high cost of housing has made it unattainable for too many hardworking Minnesotans. I’m proud to be introducing the First-Time Homebuyer Tax Credit Act to try and make home ownership a reality for more".

The following day, July 24, 2025, she turned her attention to agriculture and food security. In one post she wrote, "Specialty crop farmers are an economic engine that powers our economy and feeds our families. I met with the Almond Alliance this week to discuss how we can work together to ensure specialty crop producers can access the tools they need to continue feeding our country."

Later on July 24, Craig expressed concern about proposed regulatory changes affecting food assistance programs: "Burdensome red tape could kick 22.3 million families off their food assistance. And it couldn’t come at a worse time – last year, food shelf visits in MN hit an all-time high. I’m committed to partnering with federal, state and local officials to ensure every MN family can put".

Craig was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. She graduated from the University of Memphis in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Her legislative focus frequently includes issues related to housing affordability and agricultural policy.
