U.S. Representative Angie Craig, who has served Minnesota’s 2nd district in Congress since 2019, recently posted a series of statements on social media highlighting her engagement with local agricultural leaders, recognition of military service members, and concerns over federal labor policies.
On August 6, 2025, Craig shared her experience meeting with state agricultural representatives: "Yesterday I met with the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association! Minnesota's soybean growers are the best of the best – they feed our families and livestock, fuel our state and make Minnesota’s economy resilient."
The following day, she acknowledged National Purple Heart Day and expressed gratitude to veterans: "On National Purple Heart Day, we recognize and honor the bravery, selflessness and sacrifice of those who put their lives on the line to defend our freedoms. Thank you to all of Minnesota’s Purple Heart Recipients, Purple Heart families and the loved ones of those who made the" (August 7, 2025).
Later that same day, Craig addressed labor rights for federal employees at the Department of Veterans Affairs: "The right to collectively bargain ensures workers have access to fair pay, safe working conditions and the hard-earned benefits they deserve. The fact that President Trump is stripping employees at the Department of Veterans Affairs of that right – 25% of whom are veterans" (August 7, 2025).
Craig has represented Minnesota’s 2nd District since replacing Jason Lewis in Congress in 2019. Born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently residing in Prior Lake, she graduated from the University of Memphis in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
