U.S. Representative Angie Craig, who serves Minnesota’s 2nd district, addressed a range of issues in a series of tweets posted on August 26 and 27, 2025. The posts covered concerns about data privacy under former President Trump, advocacy against conversion therapy, and her reaction to a shooting incident in South Minneapolis.

On August 26, Craig raised concerns regarding data security for Americans' personal information. She wrote, "Remember when Republicans promised to protect Social Security? Instead, President Trump and Elon Musk let total amateurs access your private data. The result? Every American’s SSN, birth date, government name and address are at risk of theft. First Signal-gate. Now this. This https://t.co/cxgh76MFyg".

Later that day, Craig turned her attention to the issue of conversion therapy for minors. In her tweet from August 26, she stated, "Conversion therapy is a cruel, outdated and long discredited practice that is opposed by every major medical association in America. As a Co-Chair of the @EqualityCaucus, I joined 186 of my colleagues in urging SCOTUS to uphold bans on these dangerous practices for minors."

On August 27, following reports of violence in her state, Craig expressed sympathy for those affected by a shooting incident in South Minneapolis: "Cheryl and I are deeply shocked and saddened to hear of a shooting this morning in South Minneapolis. We are grateful to the first responders on the scene, and praying for the kids, families and teachers affected by this horrific act of violence.

I am in touch with state and".

Craig has served as Minnesota’s 2nd District representative since 2019 after succeeding Jason Lewis. She was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis in 1994.
