U.S. Representative Angie Craig, who has represented Minnesota’s 2nd district in Congress since 2019, used her social media platform to criticize efforts that she says threaten food and health care benefits for working families.
On November 8, 2025, Craig posted: "I’m sure it’s exhausting taking away working families’ food and health care. Not to mention all that partying at Mar-A-Lago."
The following day, on November 9, she addressed the issue of SNAP benefits in Minnesota: "Minnesota followed the law and has already paid SNAP benefits in full. If this Admin wants to take those benefits away, they’d better lawyer up. Sue their asses again @AGEllison."
Later on November 9, Craig commented on a proposed deal affecting health care coverage: "If people believe this is a 'deal,' I have a bridge to sell you. I’m not going to put 24 million Americans at risk of losing their health care. I’m a no."
Craig was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. She graduated from the University of Memphis with a BA in 1994. Since replacing Jason Lewis in Congress, Craig has been an advocate for issues impacting working families and has publicly opposed measures she believes would reduce access to essential services such as food assistance and health care.
