City of Apple Valley issued the following announcement on June 1.
Residents are understandably concerned about civil unrest, rioting and property damage occurring in the Twin Cities. Law enforcement agencies throughout Dakota County are working together to protect public safety in the county. Together they are running a 24-hour operation to respond to the changing situation. You may see police officers from different agencies patrolling through your community to make sure residents are safe and businesses are protected. Residents are asked to follow the county’s night curfew, and call 911 to report anything suspicious.
