The Dakota County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 7 appointed two new members to the Dakota-Scott Workforce Development Board. Jo Foust will represent the public sector. Erin Woodward will represent the private sector.
Foust is the business development director for the Scott County Community Development Agency. She oversees the Economic Development Department and the Center for the Entrepreneurship Business Accelerator Program. She is a National Development Council-certified economic development professional and received her Entrepreneurship Center management certification from the International Business Innovation Association.
Woodward is the global sustainability director at Resideo in Golden Valley. She builds, executes and communicates to stakeholders in Resideo's Environmental, Social and Governance program. She has a decade of experience helping to build sustainability programs aligned to company strategies and community partnerships. She served on the steering committee of the Environmental Initiative's Sustainable Growth Coalition and on the Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce board of directors.
The Dakota-Scott Workforce Development Board oversees employment and training programs in Dakota and Scott counties. It is a state leader in developing innovative programs administered through CareerForce locations in Burnsville, Shakopee and West St. Paul.
